A game of rounders?
Due to the great fun had at the last social night (1st August), we have organised for a get together on Saturday 6th September for a game of rounders. Our members work hard in the training sessions and don't get to know their fellow members, so this will be a good opportunity to get to know everyone and have some fun.
Sunday 1/2 marathon training started
Alot of our runners this year are taking part in the Royal parks 1/2 marathon in october or the Synergy monopoly 1/2 marathon route, so we have started an extra session on sundays (until October) at 9.30am. Look forward to seeing you there.
Crouch End 10km 2008
Congratualtions to all Synergy Running club's members who took part in the Crouch End 10km on Sunday 18th May and beat their personal bests:

We would like to wish Geraldine, Nicola, Lorraine, Sacha and Jonathan luck for sunday and we'll see them at the finish. Have fun guys :-)

Marathon Training starts again
Marathon training for the Flora London 2008 marathon has started again on sundays at 3pm. All levels welcome.
Rain, rain and more rain
We've had a perfect summer in terms of running, cool with occaisional drizzels. However numbers have been slightly low as not everyone like to run in the rain. Make the most of it, it's much better than running in 30 degrees heat!
Scorching 10k
Well done to Jo, Kelly, Alison, Julia, Fiona, Sacha, Rachael, Sarah, Andre, Raymond and Alan for completing the Crouch End 10k in really hot conditions and in some cases beating personal bests.
It's that time of year again...
The Crouch End 10k fun run is taking place this sunday. Starting in Priory Park, two loops of Alexandra Palace and back to priory park. We should have 20 people taking part in the fun run. If anyone would like to come along and cheer, look out for the runners with a white T shirts with "How's my running?" on the back in blue. lol
Congratulations to our London marathon runners
Well done to Almon, Alan, Gary, Maddie, Ruth, Nikki, Lara, Raymond, Donna, Julia, Helen, Jo and Alison for completng the London marathon on sunday. They all finished uninjured and with a smile on their face. Have a good rest guys and we'll see you soon.
New!!!!! The Power Plate arrives....
This week saw the arrival of the Power Plate at the studio. The Power Plate is a vibrational training tool which is helping runners to stay injury free, activate more muscles (to allow them to go faster and further) and inprove their fitness. 5th week of marathon training
We have added an additional sunday 11am to accomodate the members running the mararthon in april. This weeks distance is 18km. If you're finding it difficult to train for the marathon on your own, why not contact us and see what support we could give you.
Marathon places arrive
This week we received 9 marathon places from the charity "The Avenues Youth Project". All 9 places were allocated to the runners of Synergy Running club, who this time 6 months ago could not even run for 5 minutes. Well done guys and girls you deserve it. Raise as much as you can!

National Back Awareness week 16-22 October
